Rabbi Waldman’s Career in Religious Education
Rabbi Samuel Waldman is currently 60 years old. He has had a diverse career in religious education. His beginnings started off with being indoctrinated with the teachings of Horav Hagoan Rabbi Avigdor Miller ZT”L’s teachings. At 17 years old he started to listen to hundreds of Rabbi Miller’s tapes and encouraged many others to do so as well. He also was close with the former Mashgiach of Mirrer Yeshiva, Horav Hagoan Rav Don Segal shlit”a.
He started off his married life learning in the Kollel of Mirrer Yeshiva. After 4 years in Mirrer Yeshiva Kollel he was invited to join the Kollel of the Yeshiva Mercaz Hatorah of Belle Harbor at the time run by Rabbi Levi Dicker zt”l and Rabbi Chaim Zelikovitz Shlit”a. The intention was to eventually bring him into the position of Mashgaich of the High School. After 2 years in the Kollel he indeed became the Mashgiach of the High School. That job entailed amongst other duties, to deliver weekly lectures about proper Torah living and on topics of Emunah to the High School boys in each class separately. He also had one on one discussions with the boys to spur them on to greater heights in their climb to becoming true Ben Torah. It was during those years that he delivered those lectures that many of his students encouraged him to put those concepts into a book.
During those years as Mashgiach in Mercaz Hatorah of Belle Harbor, the material for the highly acclaimed book ‘Beyond A Reasonable Doubt: Convincing Evidence to the Truth’s of Judaism’ published by Feldheim, was put together. This book was published in 2002 and sold many tens of thousands of copies and is still selling. It was an acclaimed classic by those in the field of kiruv. Many people have contacted Rabbi Waldman to tell him how much the Sefer influenced their path in life. It was a “game-changer” to many, many people. The Sefer explains in an extremely clear way all the basic tenets of the Jewish Faith.
Rabbi Waldman also taught 4th and then 7th grade for 11 years at the Elementary school, Yeshiva Tiferes Moshe in Queens, NY. Rabbi Waldman also taught in a few of summer camps over the years leaving his mark on many hundreds of students over a 20-year period. He was for a number of years in the old Camp Torah Vodaas, and for many years in Camp Dora Golding as well, having a profound effect imbuing the tenets of Judaism to his students with his lectures and through his Sefer.
Rabbi Waldman’s Writing Projects
For the past 10+ years, he has also embarked on a major writing project that is just about finished. He was busy working on writing a very lengthy and very comprehensive Sefer, all about the extremely important subject of Proper Prayer. It discusses all the reasons why Orthodox Jews spend so much time in prayer every day. It explains what we are supposed to accomplish by spending so much time in prayer. Ideas that most Jews are unaware of. It promises to be a classic on the topic of Prayer. Rabbi Waldman personally spends a lot of his time in intense prayer as his Sefer shows is the correct and proper way to pray.
He has also recently embarked on an ambitious project. He started a blog that shows many objects of nature that display amazing Intelligent Design – clearly created by a most Intelligent Designer. It also shows the fallacy of the Theory of Evolution. He shows how numerous objects in nature are ABSOLUTELY 100% IMPOSSIBLE to have come about through an evolutionary process. This promises to be an extremely informative blog.
Rabbi Waldman’s Suplements Business
Rabbi Waldman is married and is the father of 13 children and has many grandchildren. Rabbi Waldman very reluctantly left the field of teaching and went out to earn a better source of income for his growing family. Of course, he has kept a strong Torah learning schedule as well. Recently he has rejoined a morning Kollel and part-time he is earning a living selling specialized herbal supplements for bladder control. He has partnered with a few people to start off with an already proven formula that helps people with an Overactive Bladder (OAB) problem. The product line will be expanding to provide Prostate help and we hope to have a hair loss supplement as well. He will also be putting out a Mental and Cognitive strengthening supplement. High-quality Aloe Vera will follow shortly afterwards. He wishes to truly help people without any gimmicks involved, producing truly effective health products.
Rabbi Waldman plans on going back into the field of giving lectures on Jewish Education as soon as his Sefer Tefilla and his blog is finished.
